What is the Replenishment Center?
The Replenishment Center is a tool that creates suggested orders for articles you want to keep at consistent stock levels in your stores, or for items you want to monitor closely when stock runs low. The center consists of three parts, each essential for creating tailored orders based on your data.
Workflow
Settings Tab: Set the alert and target levels for each article/store combination you want automated orders for.
Notifications Tab: Fine-tune when you want to be notified about articles that have reached their alert levels.
Suggested Orders Tab: Sit back and wait for notifications about articles to replenish or check the Suggested Orders tab anytime to see what’s low in stock.
Read more in depth about each part of the process below.
Settings
This tab lists all your articles, with editable Alert and Target levels for each. To create a replenishment setting, simply fill in and save these levels. The Alert Level is when you want to start restocking, and the Target Level is the stock level you want to refill up to.
After setting your levels, the system keeps track of if any articles are at or below their Alert Level and adds a suggested order if needed. For example, if the Alert Level is 3 and the Target Level is 5, and stock drops to 3, you’ll get a suggested order of 2. If stock drops to 1, the suggested order will update to 4.
Clicking an article row shows a list of all your stores. Setting Alert and Target Levels in the article row applies them to all currently filtered stores. Setting levels directly on a store only changes them for that store. This lets you set a base value and adjust for stores with different sales rates. Don’t forget to click "Save Replenishment Levels" regularly.
Note: If you set a replenishment setting for an article, you won’t receive Low Stock or Out of Stock actions for it in the Action Center.
Row Status
Error: The target level is lower than the alert level, or only one value is set.
Changed: You have unsaved changes.
Some Set: Replenishment levels are set and saved for some selected stores for this article.
All Set: Replenishment levels are set and saved for all selected stores for this article. Great work!
Notifications
Impulso will send you a notification each week if there are any suggested orders. This tab lets you finetune when you receive them. Don’t forget to save when you are happy with your settings.
Weekday
This dropdown lets you select which weekday you want to get your notifications. Tuesday is the default, as some retailers send data weekly, arriving on Sundays or Mondays. This ensures that the latest stock data is used for calculations. However, most retailers send us their stock levels daily, so any day that you want to get the notification is a good choice.
Minimum Notification Level
If you don’t want to get notifications just because one singe article in one store has reached their alert level, this is the setting that you want to change. The number in the selection field is the number of articles a suggested order for one location needs to contain for it to be part of your weekly notification. If no order meets this threshold, you will not receive a notification that week.
For example, if you set the minimum notification level to 5, and you have an article with a suggested order of 3, you will not be notified. If you also have an article with a suggested order of 4 in the same store as the first article, then you will be notified. If the second article had a suggested order in another store though, you would not be notified, since none of your stores would contain enough pieces to reach the minimum notification level.
Suggested Orders
Initially, your Suggested Orders tab will be empty. That is because it depends on your replenishment settings, so if you haven’t set up any, head over to the Settings tab first.
Once you’ve configured your order rules and the stock levels reach their alert thresholds, suggested orders will appear, grouped by location. Click on a location row to see all articles at or below their alert level.
You can filter orders using the search bar or the store/season dropdowns. To export, use the Export Orders button below the search bar to download the orders as an Excel file.
Note: The content on this page is independent of your replenishment notifications. You will always see every location and article that needs replenishment here.
